Our Students’ Story
Athletic Talent and Programmer

Jason
Stanford University Admission, Canadian High School, GPA 4.2 SAT 1580
Jason has always been passionate about sports, especially basketball, ice hockey, and sailing. He is a very cheerful and outgoing student.
Under the guidance of EliteLink's coaches, Jason applied to become an after-school basketball coach at a special school, teaching second and third graders how to play basketball. This activity continued for two years, three hours a week. Jason formed a deep friendship with the children he taught and celebrated their birthdays in the community every year.
In addition, Jason is also interested in engineering and business studies. He participated in MIT's robotics engineering summer school and Columbia University's business summer school and achieved good results in robotics competitions.
After exploring different STEM subjects, he found himself more interested in programming and data analysis than electrical engineering.
In 10th grade, EliteLink teachers led him to participate in a Hackson competition held by Columbia University. This competition required participants to team up with others on-site to create a project and produce a simulated product within 72 hours.
This activity had a great impact on Jason. Their app design received praise on-site, and the 72-hour brainstorming session made him realize his passion for his career. He enjoys the excitement and continuous output of ideas.
After the event, he continued to improve his app and established a social tech entrepreneurship club at his school, inviting the school's computer science teacher to guide him and work with a few classmates to enhance the app project.
He is very eager to study programming or data analysis and start a tech entrepreneurship company.
In 11th grade, EliteLink coach guided Jason to participate in the UC system incubator project competition, where he won a prize.
At the same time, Jason's public speaking skills improved significantly through activities.
In his own words, "The EliteLink mentors gave me not only college application guidance and career planning but also helped me discover my life's direction. I will strive to become an interesting tech entrepreneur who can solve some social problems."
Overcoming Confusion and Anxiety to Secure Early Admission to Yale University
Alicia Yale University Admission, High School in New Jersey, USA GPA 4.5 ACT 36

Alicia, who started planning in 9th grade, has always been a versatile student who loves dancing, singing, and playing the piano. Academically, she is interested in English literature and biochemistry, and she is also very active in school clubs.
However, participating in too many clubs made her feel scattered. Alicia felt she had too many things to do and couldn't concentrate.
Therefore, EliteLink teachers divided her activities into three categories: personal interests, career exploration, and community service, and prioritized them, allowing her to focus on more important activities and reduce unnecessary school club activities.
After exploring different subjects and research paths with EliteLink teachers, she found herself interested in biology, chemistry, and pharmaceuticals.
After attending the University of Pennsylvania's neuroscience research program summer school, she discovered her interest in biology. She later interned at Princeton University's summer biology lab, further confirming her love for biology.
EliteLink teachers also guided her to conduct a research project on the impact of sleep on brain cells, which received great feedback at school. The school even invited her to present her findings to the entire school.
Alicia also participated in a summer internship program at the New York Insect Museum recommended by EliteLink coaches and mentors and wrote an impressive internship observation report.
She said, "I always felt I could do something great but was always confused and unsure if my efforts would help my future. Coach Aria and Vicky gave me clear planning and guidance, making me feel secure and directed. I'm very fortunate to have met EliteLink coaches."
Writer and Data Analyst
Brandon
Cornell University Admission, GPA 4.3 SAT 1580 Attending High School in New York, USA

Brandon's strength is mathematics, so when he started college planning, he wanted to apply for math major. His weaker subject was writing, and he couldn't get an A in his writing classes since 9th grade.
After understanding the career paths available for math majors, Brandon hoped for a broader employment scope. An EliteLink coach guided him to explore various STEM subjects, leading to his interest in data analysis. After completing a summer program at Columbia University, he became certain about pursuing a study in this field.
Under the guidance of the EliteLink writing coach, Brandon began to change his writing style, developed an interest in science fiction writing, and even turned his stories into podcasts, narrating them as engaging tales. His writing grades improved from B- to A.
After several attempts, his novels gradually became popular at school, and many classmates urged him to update. His school's writing teacher was also pleased with his progress. Transforming from not interested in writing to becoming an author was a huge change.
At the same time, EliteLink coach recommended a book on entrepreneurship, which fascinated him. He asked if he could study business combined with data science.
Understanding his passion, EliteLink coach guided him to participate in multiple events at NYU's entrepreneurship center and the New York Tech Entrepreneurship Summit, giving him a more intuitive understanding of entrepreneurship.
With a clear goal, Brandon worked hard to study data analysis courses and completed the Python certificate course. In 10th grade, he won first place in the school's writing competition. He also completed the Telluride Association Summer Program (the author of Elon Musk's biography also attended this program) and the Data Science Academy summer school at Wharton School of Business.
In the end, with a reasonable plan, Brandon received admission to his dream school.
Brandon said, "From hating writing to loving it, EliteLink coaches were like magicians, opening new doors for me and helping me discover what suits me best while respecting and supporting my decisions. My admission is inseparable from EliteLink teachers' help."
